Speech2Doc won't launch on Windows — what should I do?
Ensure you are running Windows 10 (build 1903) or later. Right-click the installer and select 'Run as administrator'. If Windows Defender blocks it, click 'More info → Run anyway'. The app is signed but may trigger SmartScreen on first run.
macOS says the app is from an unidentified developer.
Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → scroll down and click 'Open Anyway' next to the Speech2Doc entry. This is a one-time step. The app is notarized for macOS 12 and later.
On Linux, the app opens but models fail to load.
Make sure you have at least 8 GB of RAM available and that your GPU drivers (if using GPU mode) are up to date. On Ubuntu, run: sudo apt install libgomp1 libomp-dev. Then relaunch the app.
How much disk space does Speech2Doc require?
The installer is approximately 2–4 GB depending on your platform. The bundled AI models require additional space — plan for 6–8 GB total on first launch.
Trial & Licensing
How does the 7-day free trial work?
You can download and use Speech2Doc free for 7 days with no credit card required. At the end of the trial, you can purchase a license to continue using the app. Trial data and settings are preserved after purchase.
Can I extend my trial?
Trial extensions are not available. The 7-day period is designed to give you sufficient time to evaluate all features. If you need more time due to a technical issue, contact support@speechtodoc.com.
I purchased a license but the app still shows 'Trial'.
Sign in to Speech2Doc using the same account you used for purchase. The app activates automatically after sign-in. If the issue persists, email support@speechtodoc.com with your order confirmation number.
Can I use my license on multiple devices?
Each license is valid for a single device at a time. To move your license to a new machine, deactivate it from the old device first via Settings → License → Deactivate, then activate on the new device.
What happens to my license if I reinstall the OS?
Reinstalling the OS counts as a new device. You will need to reactivate your license. If you lost access to the old device, contact support@speechtodoc.com and we will manually release your activation.
Cloud Mode
What is Cloud Mode and do I need it?
Cloud Mode is optional. By default, Speech2Doc runs entirely offline using bundled AI models — no internet required for processing. Cloud Mode lets you optionally connect your own API credentials from a third-party cloud provider for enhanced models.
Is my data safe in Cloud Mode?
In Cloud Mode, transcribed text is sent to the cloud provider you configure using your own API key. SadhguruSynapse Solutions does not receive or store this data. You are responsible for your use of third-party cloud services and their privacy policies.

Does Speech2Doc require an internet connection?
An internet connection is only required for license activation and checking for updates. All speech recognition and document generation in Offline Mode runs entirely on your device — no internet needed.
Which audio formats does Speech2Doc support?
Speech2Doc captures audio directly from your microphone. External audio file import is not supported in v1.0.0 and is planned for a future release.
How do I check for updates?
Speech2Doc automatically checks for updates on every launch. You will see an update badge in the app toolbar when a new version is available. You can also check the releases page at speechtodoc.com/releases.
